We love you so much Mom! We know it's tough right now for you to be indoors away from family and friends. You love being around people and are truly our social butterfly, volunteering every Sunday to make langar (communal dinner) at the Mandir, singing in the mandley (choir), and dancing in your Bollywood Grandmas and Punjabi Gidda dance troupes. We understand how isolating staying at home can be for you and so many in our community.
We are thankful that you are staying home and safe. The kids love their FaceTime sessions throughout the day with Nani filled with virtual dance practices, cooking lessons, and your latest virus 'updates' thanks to all your Whatsapp groups and all the Aunties 😉. -
Our parents are most at risk, we love them so much and want them to feel loved and safe. For those of us who live far from our parents, my heart breaks thinking of how far we are.
❤️ I would love ideas on how to keep all our parents supported and cared for during this time. Indian grocery delivery, virtual prayer groups, online yoga sessions, checking-in on our parents, aunties, uncles, neighbors, and members of the community who may not have people checking-in on them. Would love to hear any ideas / services you may have!
