Evening y'all, it's time for your favorite post of the week!!😁 This weeks Feature Friday is: Cole Baxter aka nastybasswelds .
Papamo) What got you into welding?
Cole) My dad, with his little Hobart hobby welder when I was little. I just thought that was the coolest thing. I didn’t really get into it until I got to high school in ag class. Where I could build little projects for school and myself. .
Papamo) How long have you been welding?
Cole) I’ve been welding for a living for about 6-7 years. .
Papamo) Types of welder owned? If any.
Cole) I don’t personally own a welder. But I work with a miller maxstar 200 DX. .
Papamo) What are your favorite processes?
Cole) I have to go with GTAW. Just for the cleanliness and the cool patterns and colors that can be produced. And mig for the versatility and simplicity. .
Papamo) What are your goals for the next 5yrs?
Cole) My goal would be to just simply stay where I’m at for about 5 more years and see where this takes me. .
Papamo) What is one piece of advice you would give to an inspiring welder or metal artist.
Cole) My advice, for what it’s worth, is to learn all you can in the field of your choosing. And hood time is what it takes to get anywhere in this line of work. .
Thanks again Cole Baxter for being this week's Feature Friday, you can follow him @nastybasswelds Go and check out his killer work!👊 .
Also BIG BIG thanks to y'all for checking this post out! #like #comment #share Make sure you check back next Friday to see who the feature will be. If you would like to be apart of these features Friday DM me!!👊 I'd love to connect and share your journey into welding!!!

Thank you to @shastacollege for hosting our FARMS Tehama Leadership students this week! Students had the opportunity to explore the farm, network with students and staff during labs in the welding and diesel tech programs, and operate a backhoe at the new heavy equipment and logging program. A special thank you goes out to Sierra Pacific Industries for our snazzy new FARMS Tehama t-shirts and @calfire for supporting the field day. #farms #logging #equipment #welding #diesel #fieldday

QUESTION FOR TIG WELDERS: What TIG welder do you recommend for home use? I know I want 120 volt and would like a finger trigger. I want to TIG stainless, mild steel and aluminum (dont need stick weld). My budget max is $2000. Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks in advance! #tig #tigwelding #welding #welders #welder #tigweld #tigwelder
