Here is the follow up to the last post. This is the youtube comment calling me a fake. I am not posting this to brag about what i have done. Im doing it to hold these trolls acountable for the things they say online. What if someone that had seen what i have seen and done what i have done had a youtube channel. What if that person was on the verge of suicide from a bad call. Someone like this putting down years of service as fruad could push them to far. They might think "if this is how the public treats me after all i have done for people i dont even know why do it." We live in an age were people will type what they would never say to your face. That age needs to end. From now on if your man enough to do this on my channel i will hold you accountable i will make sure people see your comments and i will make sure you know it. #triggered #firedepartment #emt #chiefmiller

Is it mine? Or is it yours? These fascinating questions have been going through my head over the past few days... and no, I’m not referring to possessions but rather.... BAGGAGE 🎒 ⠀
Let me walk you through: ⠀
1. Think of any upsetting or disappointment incident with a loved one.⠀
2. What was the TRIGGER💥that made you feel “off“, emotional, wanting to respond with a sense of urgency in order to “feel better”? ⠀
Your emotional state is decisive here: it’s when you stop feeling calm, centered and authentic that you’ve been triggered.⠀
3. Understand this: it’s not the other person that triggered you but the weak spot they’ve hit within you. A WOUND that has not yet healed. ⠀
Let’s take the example of arriving late to a dinner date: this might trigger someone to feel insecure and like everyone’s staring at them - another to lash out angrily at their unpunctual friend and yet another to appreciate the 20 minutes by themselves or to write some emails...⠀
Same incident different reactions. ⠀
Same trigger, different baggage.⠀
4. Underneath every trigger lies our own FEAR OF REJECTION, of not being loved, of being wrong(ed)⠀
5. The same holds true vice versa: have you had a loved one react in a strange way to you? Maybe they freaked out totally out of proportion or maybe they couldn’t be happy for your accomplishments. Well, that is THEIR BAGGAGE. Something’s triggered them. ⠀
It’s not about you, don’t take it personal.⠀
These days, every time I feel triggered or notice someone else is, I pause to analyze: Is it my baggage? Or is it theirs?⠀
Taking responsibility for our role in every relationship/friendship or interpersonal dynamic is key and essential for leading a #consciouslife and #intentionallife ⠀
So I’d love to encourage you to incorporate these little questions into your daily life. You’ll be amazed at how much calmer and easier you’ll feel about previously stressful situations! ⠀
Let me know if it works!
💕 Happy Tuesday!⠀💕

That smile... that smile...
I saw someone’s story... she was recounting a memory with someone who had passed away.
I saw her smile and it just... looked so familiar... the kind of smile that makes every tooth shine like a pearl like moon... with lips that look so sweet like cotton candy or pink starbursts...
With eyes that glisten of a daystar’s warmth...
That smile... that smile... that smile...
I kept repeating this as flashes stuck to the back of my eyes. Her face...
And cried as i watched it come and... dim... again and again...
“It’s... okay... One day... maybe one day we’ll find someone.. who will have such a smile that lights our heart on fire again...
How about our own smile?”
I think of my inner child smiling... and just burst into more tears...
All i see is a face that was once so full of hope and so innocent... now scarred by those who beat him, yelled at him, and left his heart alone.
“You know why. You just wish there was an answer that guaranteed it won’t be like this forever. That there’s a happy ending full of love to make up for this... but that’s not how life works.
Page by page your story unfolds... with no structure and certainty. It’s confounding for any reader. Its a nightmare to be the protagonist.
But you continue on... because there’s only one certainty in all of this... and that’s if you stop progressing your story, you are certain to be nothing but the pain, loneliness, and unlovability that you think you’re defined by now...”
“Live. Love yourself. Feel the pain that comes your way like a hurdle or unwavering waves. Then continue on.
Hope and love lies in life. It always has.”
That smile... was just one smile...
Not even my own smile.

Triggered warning: For all the youtube keyboard warriors out there. I have been getting a lot of comments questioning my near decade now in public saftey. Many people are quick to type what they would never say to your face. Today a viewer decided to insult me by stateing i have lied about not remmebering ever cpr call i have been on. His basis was that he was a cpr instructor and knows first hand nobody forgets doing real cpr. His comment will be posted in another post. So here are 10 photos that prove it for all those people. They span 9 years across 5 different jobs and 3 different professions. 9 years as a Firefighter/EMT (part time), 2 years as a sheriffs office dispatcher (part time), 4 years as a Fire/EMS dispatcher (full time), 2 years as an airborne observer for FEMA (volunteer), 4 months as a hospital security officer (full time). Not pictured are none public saftey jobs such as working at academy sports at the gun counter. I have more Professional certification than most people have socks to wear. Enough i must have a 3 ring binder for them. They include Firefighter II, Firefighter I, Haz Mat I, Wildland firefighter I, Fire officer I, Fire Instructor I, Fire Instructor II, Emergancy Telecommunicator, Emergancy Medical Dispatcher, CPR, Emergancy Medical Technician, IAHSS security Officer, Emergancy Vehical Driver, Mass decontamination specialist. I have taken more than 40,000 real 911 calls by phone in my lifetime, physically responded in person to thousands of calls as a firefighter/EMT. I ran over 600 calls in just my first 2 years of service. I have done CPR more times than i can count both in person and telling people how to do it on the phone (known as PAI cpr) im sure MR. CPR instructor has no clue what that is. I have had people commit suicide on the phone with me. Sounds you never forget. Type all the nasty comments you want but you cant take away from me what i have done and what i have earned. If sitting in your basment on your computer putting down real public saftey members gets you off so be it but just know how low you are. #triggered #firefighter #publicsaftey #emt #chiefmiller
