"Not all roses are red. Not all roses are perfect. But all roses have something beautiful about them! As we go through Life, we may not be perfect, but there is something gorgeous about each of us." -Bethany Hamilton
Even though this wonderful quote is about roses, It is still beautifully written and very much true.
Bethany Hamilton is one of my hero's. Even though she has her trials and hardships in her life, she is still faithful to God and she never gives up.
She didn't let loosing her arm ruin her life. Because of what happen to her, she was/is able to help so many people with their own challenges. She is an amazing surfer who has won many big competitions. She got married to a wonderful man who shares her hopes and dreams. She even was able to have two children. She has so many accomplishments and she achieves/achieved all of them with one arm.
I know that God has a plan for all of us. Even though loosing her arm was a hard transition for her, and I am sure she still struggles from time to time. Because of what she has been through, she is able to help so many people in their own journeys.
Life is hard, but I am grateful for success stories like Bethany Hamilton that give me hope in my own life. If she can do the impossible, then I can face my own hardships in my life. I am grateful for people like Bethany Hamilton, who give us hope.
God never forgot you. Keep moving forward. Life is hard, but life is not impossible.
I hope you all have a fantastic day. 🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻

Well, this week has been all about catching up on long postponed tasks, including adding my redesigned animal and flower cards to Etsy! In addition I have been applying to holiday shows and planning out new bird cards to replace the pack I retired. The Frankfort Art Fair is this weekend on Friday and Saturday! Day one is 1-7, day two is 10-4...see ya there! ✨✨✨✨✨

Finding healthy Solutions, swapping out the unhealthy Oils in the kitchen, can reduce the risk for chronic inflammatory disease.
See yesterday's post on the highly processed toxics Oils that are making us sick. #wtfwednesday
The oils and fats in my kitchen that I use.
Only some oils are stable when exposed to heat, so I choose those oils for sautéing and stir frying, and the others work great for cold items like salad dressing.
I look for unrefined, expeller pressed organic oils, and verify cold-pressed.
GMOs and hexane extraction are prohibited in organic oil production, so you can avoid those simply by choosing organic oils.
My top picks are:
This oil is all Saturated fat, don't let that scare.
As #VaniHari shares saturated fat in coconut oil is made up of medium-chain triglycerides (MCT), which have been shown to actually reduce cholesterol and obesity.
Great for low temp baking and sauteing.
Extra Virgin Olive Oil-
Best eaten cold and used me for salad dressings and dips.
Fats for cooking-
Butter & Ghee-
ideally from from grass fed and pastured cows, humanely raised and cared for.
Finding a brand you trust is important.
Couple other great options are-
#Nutiva hemp oil, avocado oil and lard. ~
