GHEE!! One of Ayurveda's most treasured foods, ghee has incredible healing properties. From our dal, khichdi to halwas and chapatis; ghee is one kitchen staple we are never getting enough of. In fact, swapping ghee with fattening #refined oils has perhaps been one of the biggest blunders of the #modern cooking. Here's a simple recipe of #homemade ghee: Take a medium sized vessel so that you can take out cream from everyday milk. See that the cream is taken out from boiled #milk ( #cream becomes even thicker if you store boiled milk in fridge) Add one or two tablespoons of home made curd into that vessel and then keep on adding cream everyday in the same vessel. See that you stir it regularly and keep it closed with a lid. Don't store the vessel in refrigerator. Keep it at room temperature only. After 10-15 days (depends on quantity of milk you purchase every day) you can see a good amount of cream! Now in a mixer (or even in a blender is ok) blend the #cream nicely, simultaneously adding water to it. You'll get the butter after churning it nicely. Wash the butter separately in running water nicely so that you don't get a sour smell. And then in a pot add the butter, turn on the gas on low flame and wait for the ghee to form. It takes about 8-10 minutes for the ghee to form. You should turn of the gas when no noise appears from it.
Tada!!! #Ghee tayyar 😋
Ps- I use cow milk for Kv and regular milk for us. So you can see two types of ghee in the picture.
Do give it a try and tag me if you do.
