The largest number in Chinese Army is the Mauser c96 pistol,it made by Germany .This pistol is Semi-automatic pistol,it has 10-round internal magazine fed by stripper clip or removable magazine.
However, no country’s military used it as a standard weapon because the army have a sensation of the pistol was too big and too long. Moreover, the price was high and the accuracy was not high. This gun was not very comfortable shooting,so many country's military not to use.
But in 1920s war of the Chinese warlords, Western country get on arms embargoes ,but only this type of pistol can be exempted. Foreign arms dealers spotted this opportunity and made it in large quantities, mainly from Spain, Germany, etc.
Chinese army also solved shooting accuracy problems, this was a lateral shooting,so this gun became the first choice for us. The Chinese also used a lot of names to describe the gun, such as large mirrors(大面鏡),Speed machine(快慢機) and so on. Among them, I like the name is “box cannon”(盒子炮) most. Because this gun has a butt stock and can be placed in the stock, it has this title.
During the Second Sino-Japanese War, the "big knife team" of the National Revolutionary Army had killed a large number of Japanese soldiers in the battle with the pistol.

first attempt to make a medieval brooch. I forgot to take photos of the original one with me (surprisingly, plenty of places are still without internet connection) thats why the exact way of joining the pin or some other details were just a guess and vague memories. It is on the smallish side, based on brooch/body ratio from illuminations and other bronze brooches finds. (I had to use brass wire instead of bronze, since the choice of bronze wires is zero to none here. I will keep looking.) Since my goal is never 1:1 replica of archeological finds, but new and wearable item made by old technique and tools, I see some room for improvement, but in general I am quite happy with the result. Now the durability test to check if the choice of the wires was the right one.
