Here's 313x5 on squats. I was injured after this session. Nothing acute, just pushing too hard too long. Let's talk about recovery.
4 weeks ago I tore an abdominal muscle. A small injury, but it'll be another 4 weeks before I can train. Rehabilitation lies in physically moving and staying mentally strong. Here's a few things that have helped me and might help you.
Walking x2 a day: a short ~15 minute walk twice a day moves some blood into the injured area, promoting healing.
Stretching: Light hip/ leg stretches: Same idea but more targeted.
Eating good food: Especially in rebuilding the body, you need all the vitamins and minerals you can get.
Talking to friends: Being surrounded by good people keeps your spirits high.
Perspective: Powerlifting/Weightlifting is a lifelong pursuit. A few months in the eye of decades is nothing.
------- Recovery is a different kind of mindset, a redirection of sorts. You need to take the ferocity used in lifting weights and channel it into educating yourself about the injury, why it happened, and how to treat it. If you put the work in, you can come back from almost anything.

This wasn’t a strange place this was a new one... @athleticsandaestheticsabq has the best equipment like the new hip thrust machine pictured and the plate load squat machine or the leg press that moves with your body! I am thankful for my place of solitude, but I am also grateful to be able to train my legs in away I’ve never trained before.

The new type of Wonder Woman; Infarared Light... Lady ? Okay help me on the title 😂 •
These shots are from a LS Pro Light Systems and @healingairhyperbarics I did a few months ago.
I’ve been using these lights for about six years now and they have helped my recover from many (many) injuries, stained or tired muscles, headaches, cramps, and increasing general energy!
I’m definitely not paid to say this, but I just wanted to share something that’s kept me in peak training shape year round. For those curious about the science, I included a little information about what LED Light Therapy is! •
LED Light Therapy is a process by which energy is delivered to various parts of the body via Light Emitting Diodes and is absorbed by the cells for therapeutic benefits. The various energy wavelengths penetrate the skin to different depths and provide the energy cells need to activate increased circulation and stimulate cells to release Nitric Oxide, the body’s natural vaso-dilator, this brings greater blood flow to the area of treatment and in turn delivers greater Oxygen.
More blood flow = more Oxygen = Enhanced performance and Accelerated recovery

My leg day went a lil something like this:
10 reps 3 sets. Moderate weight form>weight
Barbell hip thrusts
Dumbbell goblet squats
Barbell good mornings
Barbell front squats
Dumbbell alternating courtsey lunges
Burn out 🔥 (light-moderate weight focus on time under tension)
Leg extension machine till failure
Hamstring curl machine till failure
Body weight pop squats till failure
Give it a try! 🍑
Also shout out to @forest_dude for helping me with my deadlift form 👌🏻 #legworkout #legday #glutes #quads #gains
