... You may have some of these things but they do not define who you are or your happiness.
Instead... own who you are and celebrate what you and your body are!
You are strong.
You are intelligent.
You are beautiful.
You are capable.
You are a woman.
You are kind.
You are whole.
You are perfect.
My body tells a story and I am bloody proud of it. I gave birth. My body is STRONG!
Yes I have body fat, yes I have stretch marks, yes I have cellulite. My body is intelligent. It did what it had to do to bring my beautiful daughter into the world.
Although my body has changed significantly and I may not be as fit or lean as I usually like to be, it does not dictate my happiness or the way I show up each and every day.
It wasn’t always like this though. I’ve spent most of my life looking for my happiness in attaining the “perfect body”. Even 3 years ago I was on stage in a bikini, the best shape of my life... but was I happy? NOPE. I still believed I wouldn’t be happy unless I had bigger glutes or leaner arms, a smaller waste. What a joke. I then quickly realized that my happiness wasn’t hiding under a layer of fat.
It was hiding amongst self acceptance, self love and appreciation.
Today, extra lumps and bumps some additional fat here and there and fitness level of what feels like a door stop, I am happier than ever. I will not allow my Internal beauty or my happiness be dictated by my external body
At the end of the day, we have all the power in the world to change something we may not like so why waste another day being upset or unhappy about something you can change?
Stop 🛑 looking for external validation to make you happy. Happiness is a state and a choice, it’s not hiding in the size of your pants 👖 🙏🏻 #bekindtoyourself #gratitude #youhavethepower #amandakate

Yay!! Day 1 "before" pic! Starting a second round of the 8 week program I just finished before vacay (then took a transition/have fun week 💃🏻)! .
Ummmm... so first, this is not always what day 1 looks like for me - especially after a week of vacation and eating the whole dessert menu, tacos, and pizza. 🍩🌮🍕🤦🏻♀️ BUT I always like to track my progress and be real in sharing so putting it out there. I realize this opens me up to some saying things about me and thinking I am stuck on myself. .
But whatever - I'm gonna do me and help others too so if you don't like it - sorry, girl. 🤷🏻♀️ I worked HARD for these results to show consistently - even with "another" before pic 😉 (and I'm super excited to be taking a group of ladies through my program with me now! 🙌🏼) .
So before you roll your eyes 🙄😜, understand that if I share my struggles, I sure as heck will show my victories too. 💪🏼 .
I follow balanced nutrition (not perfect - balanced!). I don't cut out carbs or fat or whole food groups. I eat real food. And when I take a week "off" and just have fun and focus FULLY enjoying myself, I still fully enjoyed my fruits and veggies too! I knew they'd have me feeling my best - and I'm all about being happy. 🤗
So I'm happy with my "before" pic and I'm ready to focus on getting stronger, faster, and better in my movements! Let's do this, ladies!! 👊🏼

I can’t believe we’re only at month 8(ish) of cloth diapering. It feels like we’ve been doing it forever and we wonder why we didn’t just do it from the beginning. I can’t even give you a number in terms of how much money we saved because I can’t remember how much a box of diapers costs. We started because we wanted to save money, which we did, and because we wanted to reduce the toxins that touched our beans bum. Now it’s become so much more. Being able to use these for baby #2 and reducing the amount of waste is a huge bonus as well - and did I mention the amount of cash we’ve saved? What does a box of disposables even go for these days??

I am a small town girl from a small town in Michigan. I like reading, watching movies, ALL music, obsessively watching HGTV and cruising Zillow on a regular basis, sports, beer and wine, pizza, and running. 🍕🏃♀️🏈📕⚾️🍷
I went to undergraduate school in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
As college was ending, I knew I wanted to move somewhere new and I thought graduate school would give me that opportunity. So I applied to a school in Colorado and one in NY and I left it up to chance. Whichever school responded first was where I would move to. 🤷♀️
It was NY :) 🍏🍏🍏🍏So, I took a leap. I had never been to NY before and coming from a small town, going to a huge city like NYC was scary but also exciting. I was there for 12 years, met a lot of great people, found my passion for my career in HR technology, met my husband and had my son there. *******************
When my son was born two years ago, we realized it was important for us to be closer to family, so we packed up and moved to Chicago. 🚗******************
I was a new mom, in a new city..and I was struggling. I felt alone, lost and completely tired and overwhelmed. I had no idea who I was anymore after becoming a mom and I also didn't like how my body looked postbaby. 😟😟😟
So, I took another leap and joined an online health and fitness accountability group. Little did I know that it would not only give me the support and encouragement I needed to get back on track with nutrition and fitness and STAY on track..but that it would also give me a whole community of women to make me feel less alone as a mom and a woman. 🙌🙌🙌
As a mom, feeling like a woman again, feeling self-confident in myself as a person and with my body, feeling like I was more than just a mom..that was life-changing for me. I wanted to pay this gift I had received forward. I wanted to help other moms like myself feel like themselves again and becoming an online health and fitness coach gave me that opportunity.

Guys, this routine. This no excuses. This never give up mentality. It didn’t happen over night. I didn’t just wake up one day and it all clicked and I stopped skipping workouts and lying to myself about what I would do. It took time. It took getting 3 workouts in a week for awhile. And then it turned into 6 eventually. It took mental banters with myself. It all eventually clicked. I quit making excuses and just knew my workout was part of my day. Slowly but surely I trained the quit out of myself! You. Can. Too. •

Round 2 Day 1/80. I can feel my strength I gained last time around so you know it’s working.
I contemplated what I was going to do this next time around. And it got me thinking (oh no right hahaha)
Often times we think about changing something or wishing something was different. If we sit idly by nothing will happen. We will be stuck in the same situation, with the same problems, with the same frustrations, the same wishes or maybe even more and it’s ends up being a never ending spiral.... UNTIL you decide to commit to yourself and start a journey to change.
We can be mad at our situation if we are unwilling to make the change.
Drop the excuses because we all have a billion we could rattle off. Make a commitment to yourself and make the change.
Stand up right now and say “I can do this, I am worth it, I am going to change (whatever the situation you want to change is), I am strong, I am confident, I can do hard things. I am doing this for ME!” We can do something new. We can do hard things. We can put our health first. We can take a little me time. “If you change nothing, nothing will change!” - unknown

We just got back from an ALL-INCLUSIVE trip to Mexico from my company and I am still shocked with all of the love we received while on the trip. The trip was absolutely amazing. Here I am, 7 months postpartum. When I was 9 months preggo I remember thinking that I would be back to my “shredded body” by 4 months postpartum, 5 at most. Hahaha…*slight sob. 😶 It’s amazing how one pregnancy can change your state of mind. I have learned to embrace my body more than ever. Improving your health does not always equal more exercise + eating better. It’s important to balance physical, mental and spiritual growth. While I could achieve shredded abs & arms that’s not priority.
Here are just a few of my current goals:
📚Read more – Spiritual & self-development books.
💆🏻♀️“Whoosah” more – Taking even 10-15min daily to destress/relax/stretch.
💚Help others – Time is one of the most precious gifts you can give anyone.

This trip was nothing but AMAZING!! Our first family vacay as a family of 4!! 👨👩👧👦The kids did AMAZING from the flights, naps, playing, meeting a ton of AMAZING PEOPLE! Even met the trainers!💁🏼♀️ (I may have gone a little #fangirl when I saw them.🤦🏼♀️)
Hannah might have the hardest time with the reality check tomorrow.🤦🏼♀️ Cause she has been loving every minute of playing in the pool/splash pad/ and beach 🏖 baby girl even made some new friends! 💃🏻
Even baby J turned into quite the ladies man!😍 He even went swimming in the pool, and ocean! (Don’t worry he was in our arms the whole time and had a life jacket.) A lot of first for this baby boy this week. .
So blessed I was able to spoil my AMAZING fam bam this week and make SO many fun memories with them! I couldn’t have earned this trip with out there support! ((Especially my hubs!)) 😘 Can’t wait to spoil the hubs again next year on the Caribbean cruise 🚢! Who else is coming with??

BUT started my day with 2 x HIIT workouts (arms & full body). Decided to start counting my calories today just to understand my body + diet abit more. Meal prep done for the week ✅ Despite always eating clean, Ive made quite a few ALTERATIONS to my diet. ADDING as well as RIDDING some foods🍌🥑🍔
