This photo I got of my boy @ninosonino is one of my favorites in front of In N Out. The contrast made it look straight from a movie & helped direct the focus more on the subject.

Photo by @jbrussell Kurdish Peshmerga commanders attend a six month officer's training course in military theory and strategy at the Kurdish military college in preparation for the immanent invasion of Iraq by the United States and it’s allies to overthrow the regime of Saddam Hussein. The Kurdish people and fighters are no strangers to being betrayed by their allies, including the U.S. on several tragic occasions. Donald Trump’s recent, callous and incomprehensible decision to allow Turkey to invade northern Syria and ruthlessly slaughter SDF forces and murder civilians is morally abject and criminal as are Turkey’s political and military actions. Turkey claims to be acting to protect itself against terrorists. While there may be elements of the SDF who are associated with the PKK, in 8 years Turkey did nothing to intervene against ISIS and actually facilitated their reign of terror. The wholesale attack against the Kurds of northern Syria to establish a “safe zone” is cynical and unacceptable. Sulaimaniya, Iraqi Kurdistan. 24/11/2002.

On a last Sunday of last month, Khalil, Deniss popularly known as Denno(looking outside from inside the movie shop) and myself wait for more friends before heading out for a gig. To pass the moment, Denno welcomes us to share I meal of matoke another friend had brought him.
Khalil spots something on the road that draws the attention of Dennis. During that moment, I see a well composed shot from the expression to the colours. I took it. It turned ok

This is kwach. His name means a leopard. He is a security guard of one of the the community halls in #kibera
He say kibera is not as unsafe as someone whose never been there may think, as matter of fact, people have learnt to accommodate and support one another. Some of them have lived there for as long as 20years or even more. He's duty here is to encourage the youth here to use the facility to discuss matters of positive impact to there lives and advice them.
To keep up with daily updates, I found him reading @standardkenya news paper (A local news paper magazine in Kenya). #documentaryphotography #everydayafrica #photojournalism #reportagespotlight #kibera #sirdartphotography #sirdart
