Don’t stop believing!! I listened to all the people who told me I sucked at my job for years. At two different jobs I had the worlds worst bosses.
One would yell at me and other staff in front of everyone else. It was so draining. She would constantly be watching our every move. Do you know those green lights you’d have on outlook messenger that would turn yellow and red if you were not active? Well if you went yellow or red she would come over to check and see what you were doing and make sure you were working!! I still can’t believe that a VP had that kind of time to monitor each employee like that.
God forbid if you took a lunch or a walk for some exercise. Also working 10 hour days wasn’t enough for her. I left that job many days crying my eyes out. My office had no windows and many days I never even left that room.
It’s no wonder my body was so mad at me that I had four miscarriages in one year while at that job.
I left that job and vowed to never let myself get to a place like that. After you loose a baby you reprioritize big time. My family came first and I wasn’t ever going to let a boss tell me differently or make me feel differently.
I couldn’t change her and you can’t change your employer or other people either.
What you can change is your perspective.
What you can change is support you get.
What you can change is who you surround yourself with.
Find people who love and cherish you. Find a job or side stream of income where people around you cheer for you and put family first. I could never imagine being around that situation again. I pray for you if you are experiencing it now. I am here and I see you.
Want to make a change?
Want to work hard now and see if you can get away from that situation?
Maybe when this is all over you don’t have to go back. Just maybe you can do what you can.

These days are getting harder to stay quarantined. Not sure how we are going to get through this but I’m pretty hopeful we will.
Here are a few tips to keep you motivated to do our due diligence to STAY HOME!!
💫Meditate or pray daily to focus your mind, raise your consciousness and to stay grounded.
💫Acknowledge your fears as they arise but don’t let them overwhelm you.
💫Try and stay away from victim mentality, which has negative effects on our health. Instead, focus on opportunities, not end of the world scenarios: Ask yourself, “How can I turn this situation into a positive one?”
💫Think how you can be a positive example and support to others, Let’s create a ripple effect on those we are spending time with and those a far.
💫Think of small acts of kindness you can do for others out there. Pay it forward!
💫Try to sleep at least eight hours every night.
💫Get regular exercise, outdoors if possible, but if you are stuck inside there are a plethora of online workouts. Let me know if you need some!
💫Eat a balanced and healthy diet, including fruit, veggies and drink half your body weight in water.
💫Have deeper, longer conversations with your loved ones. We are forced to be in our homes, so let’s use the opportunity as a time to build on our relationships and not as a confinement. It’s all about our attitude.
Out of struggle and tragedy something new can be born.
Stay Safe my friends!

What are you grateful for today, in this moment? Comment ONE thing👇🏼💚
Every day, I’m incredibly grateful and thankful for my mother. The life she gave me and the love she gives this family is one-of-a-kind. As hard as it is on me not being able to see her this past weekend or on her special day, I know after this passes, we will celebrate! Thank you for being the best and most amazing mother in the world... and being a grandmother looks incredible on you! I love you so much! Happy Birthday Momma G! ❤️🙏🏼🎂
It’s a new day and there is so much to be grateful for. Whatever we are going through now & every season of our lives, it’s important to have an attitude of gratitude. It’s all about perspective and how we choose to view the things around us. We have to start realizing this world we live in is too beautiful to waste our time & life feeling anxious, depressed or upset, no matter what we are up against.
Also in this picture are “My Why’s!” My 3 nieces and 2 nephews are the reason why I get up every single morning and work hard every single day, whether at the gym, my career or my side businesses. God Willing one day, I want to make sure they are all taken care of. I know I stretch myself quite a bit, and I’m good with that, because I appreciate the growth process that comes with wanting freedom, not just for me personally, but I want to have more time to see these kids grow up, play sports, go to their graduations and be the “Cool Funcle” constantly in their lives!
The way we view things matters, because finding reasons to be grateful in what can feel like a million reasons to feel otherwise makes a world of difference. If you struggle with staying positive, especially right now, try to wake up every morning and think of one thing to be grateful for. Say it out loud or write it down, just be grateful. It’s something that I practice daily and I can’t even begin to express how much it’s impacted my own mindset & growth🙌🏼

Card of the Day March 31st 2020 from Angels and Ancestors Oracle Cards by Kyle Gray
Today’s card is Seer. I don’t think this card could be anymore perfect for current events if it tried. This card is a reminder to stop seeing yourself as stuck, stop seeing things as coming to a standstill , choose to view it another way. You’ve been given this extra time for a reason and part of it now is to rethink your strategy going forward. A big part of it is to spend this time focused on love and joy and then the universe will conspire with that energy and recalibrate a path that is just right for you. I’m also being told that this is just as good a time as any if not better to showcase your gifts, and if you aren’t sure what they are then tune in because those around you have been giving you hints left, right and centre but you were so busy before that you couldn’t hear them. This is a great time of enlightenment and for finding you 💛 #findyourself #discoveryourself #enlightenment #love #clairvoyance #showcase #perspectiveiseverything

I was in a dismal mood yesterday so I decided to take a walk, and I discovered that the oldest Jewish cemetery in Europe isn’t far from our apartment. It was haunting and peaceful and beautiful, and it was just the dose of perspective that I needed. Stay safe, everyone.

honoring my 2nd mooncycle day with much needed heater lovin and soft blanket cuddles
for this sacred pause
currently receiving nourishing rest for my womb instead of running off to class, I am
taking time to be with myself...rubbing cbd to ease any cramping...drinking raspberry tea to aid flow, all while reading at my desk before my online class starts up
this is the pause
we have been asked to honor
my loving body having time and space to relax as she asks for rest
wow, what a gift!

Beautiful Earth. Beautiful world God created for us. I’m pretty sure most of us already have a list of things we want to do and a list of places to visit once the pandemic is over. One thing I want to do for sure is spend more time in nature and see places that showcase the detail and love God put into creating this world.

Are you feeling…⠀
👉🏽Defeated from not meeting the expectations that you had for yourself last week?⠀
👉🏽Overwhelmed by the changes you are still trying to adjust to?⠀
👉🏽Adjusting to the new normal but questioning your direction?⠀
👉🏽Just going a little bit stir crazy at home?⠀
Last week we were in a whirlwind. We were fronted with a lot of newness; figuring out what we needed to do for ourselves, our families, our business, our audience.⠀ ⠀
There’s daily alerts, new information, balancing a new routine and formulating a new plan for the new situation. ⠀
This type of tangible change comes with a process of adjustment, development and requires time to really soak in.⠀
But more than anything, you must give yourself grace for this sudden change of seasons. ⠀
Know that you are doing your best given the circumstance, and that with every change comes the OPPORTUNITY for us to learn more, do more, and become more. ⠀
We can choose to see this as a gift. A gift of opportunity to grow and evolve into stronger, more equipped and resilient beings. ⠀
As we move into this new week, let’s think of how we can reframe things - To choose to show up for ourselves, honor ourselves, and support ourselves in a way that will serve our desired outcomes. ⠀
We know we have control over ourselves, our actions, and how we chose to move forward from our current position, no matter the circumstance. ⠀
Identify the things that did not serve you last week, and ask yourself what you can do to move closer to your desired outcome. ⠀
What habits need to change?⠀
Anything new you want to incorporate into your routine?⠀
Trying new things and adjusting ourselves according to how we feel through them, will begin that process of getting into our new normal that will serve our needs and helps us design the life we truly want.⠀
COMMENT below a new adjustment you are making👇🏽✨⠀

“Mom, I love this day. It just makes me feel really special when you spend time with me.” .
Lord, help me to remember this always. ❤️
We dodged land mines of cow poo hiking through the pasture to get down to the dugout, we got muddy (at least I think it was mud🤨), we hunted for frogs, we turned a tree trunk into a balance beam, we held hands and we talked about random things like her explaining to me the difference between a frog and a toad and me having to explain why I always say shit instead of poop. .
For the record, I don’t have a good explanation for that last one 🤷♀️. #oldhabitsdiehard .
If I’m going to be honest, I was terrified of how this was all going to go. I didn’t know how I was going to juggle it all—working and parenting and homeschooling and wifing. .
Turns out it’s pretty easy to juggle if you give God the balls and ask Him to only give you the ones you need. .

Something to think about as we have all this time at home. With two boys playing soccer every day and traveling we never have this kind of down time. We never have time period. I have spent more time cooking in the last two weeks than in the last year. I realize how much I enjoy it and connecting with my family over good food. Hoping that when we return back to “normal” whatever that looks like, that I’ll keep that tradition going. #perspectiveiseverything

I was thinking how lucky we are. we have tech to stay in touch with F & F & even wfh.
I wondered what it would be like if we didn’t have any tech, what would we do then?
And then I broke my laptop 🤦🏽♀️.
In the past I would have berated myself but now I don’t.
I know it’s out of my control so all I did was laugh at my clumsiness.
I was lucky, a store close by was open & a repair is underway. Hopefully I’ll have it back soon.
In the meantime I reframed my perspective.
I looked at ways of working without my laptop. My flatmate hooked me up to chrome cast so I could still do zoom calls with clients via my phone and tv screen.
I looked at all the elements I can do with my business via my phone.
I used this as an opportunity to reflect more, meditate, read, exercise & do things for others.
I helped an elderly neighbour on her own by shopping, then bumped into another neighbour & had a good old chat (at the recommended social distance).
My flatmate and I are starting PE with Jo Wicks tomorrow.
Whether life is good or bad is always through our perspective.
One persons challenge is another’s blessing in disguise.
I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my laptop free day today and made more connections in my one hour outside than I have all week. So I encourage you to see the blessings and look for the opportunities.

I’ve been making cookies almost everyday...cuz....quarantine. Duh. But, as I was making this batch Justice said, “You know what I like about quarantine, Mama? You bake for us and take extra time to cook dinner, and the boys hang out with us a lot more, and we swim, and spend a lot more time together.” #perspectiveiseverything #akidsperspective #fromthemouthsofbabes

Learning something new every day💕
The self initiation Taryn has shown in her efforts to learn to read is incredible. She took the skills she had already been learning at Montessori and just started applying them to her books at home and in under a week is legit reading.
Imagine if we all applied just a fraction of that effort to gaining new knowledge or a new skill each day!😳

Here is how I spend my days now ..
I live in a beautiful place. I sleep in a beautiful bed. I eat beautiful food. I go for walks through beautiful places. I care for people deeply. At night my bed is full of love. I cry and laugh easily, from pain and pleasure. I won’t ever apologize for that.
In the mornings, I step outside and I’m thankful for another day.
It took me so many years to arrive at such a life.
It’s all about how you view your world because its your own reality. Make it beautiful ✨🦋

Same picture. 2 different angles. 2 different perspectives. 2 different viewpoints.
Just because you interpret something to be a certain way doesn’t mean anything else is wrong or can’t be interpreted in another way.
Keep your mind & heart open.
Let go of your grudges.
Hit up someone you haven’t spoke to in a while, despite what’s happened in the past, and rekindle that friendship.
PS- This was in 2017, I believe this was our first day on an adventure. Can’t believe how fast time flies. I’m grateful to have a great friend like you @briannasanichar ♥️

What’s been the silver lining in all of this for you? Let’s start a big comment thread of perspective, possibility and positivity. Yes, there’s stress, worry, fear. Yes, jobs may be uncertain, kids might be fighting, loved ones may be ill... and yet, there’s also love, helpers, people coming together in community support.
Your silver lining may be a personal experience, a hope for how we as a society move forward from this, or something amazing you saw on the internet.
May this post become a lighthouse, a reminder that in uncertain times, what IS certain is that we are resilient, that most people will choose love: to help, uplift and be a part of the good in the world. If you’ve read this far, I’m going to assume that’s YOU. And it’s really just a minority that succumbs to shitty behaviour (contrary to what the media leads us to believe). _
Ok, here’s one of my silver linings. I was away from my two boys for three weeks and set to do more intensive traveling (for our Modern Yoga teacher training 5-day immersion Australia and two Vancouver immersions) which was kind of a crazy schedule. Now I get to spend more time at home with my boys AND when we reschedule the immersions, I’ll be able to do it a more sustainable way for my work/life balance. Hurray! -even though we were so looking forward to being with our teacher community starting this week 😭😍 _
Now it’s your turn! I can’t wait to read about your silver linings ✨ #movewithlove

I truly believe believe through struggles, we find our strength, through problems, we create solutions, through losses, we gain gratitude, through adversities, we find the will to overcome. When we decide to get excited about climbing the mountain that’s before us and how the climb will transform us, life just feels a lot better.💜 Much love, Markella💜

The beauty of now. ————————————————
Whilst the time is unsettling and unknown and undeniably awful for those affected, it certainly presents a unique opportunity. ————————————————
A rare gift of time and opportunities awaits. ————————————————
Time to work on yourself, try new hobbies or express yourself in ways you have never done before.
Time to work on your relationships through communication.
Opportunity to slow your life down and appreciate the little things that are often so easily missed during the daily grind.
Opportunity to connect with yourself and find out what really makes you happy.
Opportunity to really see some people’s true colours. Find out who really cares for you etc.
Time to finish those projects you haven’t got round to doing.
Time to rest.
The possibilities are literally infinite. ———————————
This is your time. Don’t project to the future and wish this was all over. ———————————
Be grateful you get to stay at home. Stop projecting negative energy in an already negative situation. Many people would swap to be in your position, to be safe and spend time with their loved ones. ———————————
It’s called maintaining perspective.

I don't walk the line, I strut down it with confidence and elegance. 💋💯🔥
I often find myself split between opinions, personality traits, aesthetics, etc. quite often. I'm a Ravenpuff through and through, am a cusp sign of an Aries and Taurus, and definitely see some Team Instinct tendencies within my Team Mystic self. Politically, I can find common ground on both sides because I always look at the whole picture and vote with my conscience. I'm a city girl for the accessibility and community and a nature girl for the freedom to flow with the wind the trees, and the sea. I love being able to facilitate meaningful conversations with people because there's a high chance for commonality because I'm sort of two of a kind. I'd attribute the cause to being surrounded by a variety of environments growing up and combining the things I need with the things I love. For instance, Armando and I I dream of a cabin home on a lake, surrounded by trees and fauna. Living there would be difficult though, without a self-driving car, because everyday resources are few and far between and I can't be isolated for too long. My extroverted self thrives better in the city but at the cost of nature deprivation. Anyone else find themselves split on anything? Let me know in the comments!

“Having kids — the responsibility of rearing good, kind, ethical, responsible human beings — is the biggest job anyone can embark on. As with any risk, you have to take a leap of faith and ask lots of wonderful people for their help and guidance. I thank God every day for giving me the opportunity to parent.” 💗
I hope Emerson remembers all the joy from this season of life. I hope she remembers the laughs, the forts, the “backyard camp out”, family dinners and all the silly traditions that came from this unprecedented time!
We are being very honest with her about what’s going on and why we are at home but out of love and educating her not out of fear and anxiety. I honestly believe this is a crucial time to be an example and show our kids that yes, we will all go through struggles and it’s okay to feel ALL the emotions but we don’t stay down in defeat we can look up and in the struggle we can choose our perspective and choose joy!🤟🏼 #perspectiveiseverything #choosejoy #heisalwaysworking #godisgoodallthetime #betheexample #thatsweetsmile #makingmemories #simplemomentsofjoy #doingourbest #stayhome

This is me one year ago. No hair, post-mastectomy, in the middle of 21 days without a shower, aching behind the smile, social distancing before it was a thing. My chemo-riddled fingernails looked like they belonged to a zombie, my skin was peeling, my eyes hurt. But I was and still am so damn happy to be alive.
I am sharing this just to offer a little perspective, given all the posts and memes I’ve seen about canceled hair and nail and skin appointments. I am here to tell you it will be okay. My new hair already makes me laugh but it’s okay; I can certainly survive a bunch of bad hair days. We all can.
Everybody’s gonna look and feel different after all of this. More REAL after all this. And hopefully more focused on just BEING with people than how we look to them, focusing instead on feeling so damn happy just to be alive. 💗
