Thinking of joining the Musical Moments team but worried it just won't fit around being a mum? Well here's Maggie from Musical Moments North York who might be able to answer some of the questions you may have... 🎶 How does the job fit around family life?
It is ideal as I set my own hours and days of work so can fit easily around the childcare I have available. I usually leave the house around 10am and am home before 5pm so plenty of time at each end of the day for all the other mum duties. Some of my fellow Franchisees even take their children along to help deliver sessions in the school holidays. 🎶 How often do you work?
Currently I work 3 days a week and try to deliver 3 sessions a day. As the business grows rather than increasing my own hours I intend to take someone on to deliver more sessions. 🎶 How much time do you commit?
I do 3 hours of sessions a day which obviously requires some admin time booking in and invoicing etc, but the beauty of Musical Moments is that all the sessions are ready planned for you so there is minimal prep time on top of the actually hours delivering sessions. 🎶 Why would you recommend this opportunity to other Mums?
Because you are in control of when you work and also it is so much fun. Compared to my old job I don’t really feel like I am working because the hours are so easy and it is so rewarding. It is a genuine privilege and pleasure to have a job that brings so much happiness to people in need but also pays you well for the time you put in.

There will be times when you’re tired or hungry and times when you feel heavy or soft. There will be times where you don’t want to do that cardio session or that last rep on the Leg Press and times where you don’t want to eat that last meal or finish that jug of water! There comes a point at both ends of the cutting and gaining spectrum where you have to come to terms with being uncomfortable. Fighting it or complaining about it will only slow down progress that could be made! Remember this is your choice, if your goal truly means something to you, you’ll just get on with it.
