Wunderschöne Hochzeit. Obwohl die beiden in Amerika geheiratet haben, haben die beiden wunderschönen Menschen auch ein Party für Australien Freunde und Familie Veranstaltet. Es war wirklich schön, es war allerdings nicht zu vergleichen zu eine Deutschen oder Türkischen oder Russischen Hochzeit. The notion that babies can and should ‘sleep through the night’ in isolation has become so normalized, that those of us who dare to question its validity are often stereotyped as soft, inept and unwilling to do what ‘needs’ to be done.
▫️
There is no denying that night time parenting pushes us to our limits. Modern society has fragmented the community that was designed to share the load and act as a safety net when new parents need it most. Most families require both parents to earn an income and in many western countries, especially the US, maternity leave is abysmally inadequate.
▫️
But, that doesn’t condone systematically dismissing normal infant behavior and labelling it as a “problem” that needs to be “fixed”. If we are to truly solve the issues surrounding parental exhaustion, we need to accurately identify the problem before we can have any hope of solving it, no matter how unconventional the solution may seem.
▫️
If we condemn infants for completely normal behavior we disconnect ourselves not only from our babies but from our instincts.
▫️

While it may look like I am brushing my teeth in this picture, I'm really applying the absolutely delicious Lemon Pie Lip Butter from Cedar Organics India @organicscedar. I've struggled with dry lips all my life, so I knew that I had hit upon gold when I tried this 100% natural lip butter and it made the dryness go away.
Also, I NEVER KNEW that lips needed regular scrubbing and exfoliation too - that's where the cinnamon lip scrub came in! Was it only me who was unaware that lip scrubs as smooth as these help the lips to breathe and heal? (Knowing my love for lipsticks, this was much needed gyaan)
I gifted the anti-acne face mask to my co-sister, since I don't have acne, and she's been pretty happy with the results. And yes, the peppermint foot cream my kids love more than me - it reminds them of their favourite peppermint candy!

Earlier this week my perfect grandmother passed away. The quickest to compliment and uplift, she oozed love and kindness from every pore of her body. Being gracious was her second nature. She perfectly embodied the class and romance that is envied from her era, and was and is an absolute idol for me in every way. Having been together with my grandpa for over 70 years - beginning dating at age 14 and caring for one another until her very last breath- they showed me what undying love looks like. The world will never have another Patricia Mackay, and being her namesake is one of my highest privileges and greatest tasks.
Hug your grandparents. Visit them. Love them and serve them. They’re worth more than gold.

Cuando me dijeron que necesitaría puntos y que le iban a poner anestesia con inyección me puse muuy nerviosa. Gracias a Dios buscamos si había alguna otra forma de que cerrara la abertura que tenía en el mentón y encontramos que podían usar #steristrips para ayudar su herida a cerrar y eso hicimos 🙏🏼
