In times like these, it's hard to stay positive and not lose hope. But we can't do that; we owe it to the Southern Resident Killer Whales to keep fighting...
Please take a moment today, when you read this or when you can make 5 minutes of free time, to reflect on the fragility of life. Think about how special it is to be alive, surrounded by the beauty of our earth and its rich biodiversity. Think about how interconnected we are with everything around us – from orcas to bumblebees; we rely on nature to survive and thrive. Think about how much impact we have as humans to destroy, but also the impact we have to restore. Feel that hope. Let that hope fill you. Let's make change!
Here are a couple of actions you can take to help make that change!
➡️ Call Washington and Idaho Senators and declare that the lower Snake River dams need to be dismantled. .
Washington’s Senators: Maria Cantwell: (206) 220-6400 and Patty Murray: (206) 553-5545
Idaho's Senators: James Risch: 202-224-2752 and Mike Crapo: (208) 522-9779
➡️ Get involved in efforts to protect and restore salmon habitat in your community.
➡️ Choose to eat sustainably-harvested salmon and other seafood to help protect wild fish populations.
➡️ Learn more about the issue and educate others.

Wow ! Wait for it 😮🐬
“The single most amazing underwater experience of my life. After almost seven years knocking on this door, crossing my fingers to spot wild orcas in Baja, I had one quick encounter in January, and now this. I feel overwhelmed and incredibly lucky for witnessing this one-in-a-million predatory behavior from the front row. »

It's not only a film series that we're creating, it's a platform for real change. We've banded together, from across the globe, to share this story for one reason only - to catalyze necessary change. 🌊
The countdown is on - 3 days left! We've almost hit two milestones: $30,000 and 300 backers! We have supporters giving $5 all the way up to $5,000. Give what you can, every little bit makes a difference! Please, tag your friends below and let them know why you've supported @coextinctionfilm on Kickstarter. Share with your network, and tell them that it's not only a film series that we're creating, it's a platform for real change. We banded together to share this story for one reason only - to catalyze change. 🌊
We've dedicated almost a year to the development of this story, this team and this community. We've seen the disappearance of the Southern Resident Killer Whales first hand. And we've been deeply moved by the passion of others fighting for change and standing with us. Our mission goes beyond saving the Southern Resident Killer Whales from extinction, its about the health of an entire ecosystem, the Salish Sea. It's about our Canadian heritage and culture. And its about all life on Earth as deeply interconnected. This issue goes beyond the west coast, its about a planet experiencing an extinction crisis at the hands of poor policies, decisions, and a lack of understanding and connection. We want to change the way people think about extinction, and we want to save the Southern Resident Killer Whales. But we can't do it without you - yes, YOU, dear reader. Our community is growing stronger day by day! Let's create some change together! #wearetheorca
