Here’s another post to remind you that what you see on social media isn’t real. No one is posting their failures.
For someone who travels a lot for work, shoots, marketing jobs + more, you may be surprise to hear that I absolutely detest driving, always have.
Yesterday was a weird day. I traveled a couple hours out of town to visit a girl friend of mine, whom I haven’t seen since last December. Well while en route, I experienced a road taunting/rage from another driver in the fast lane while I was in the center lane.
Not five minutes had passed, + I was still shaken + flustered from the incident, I was pulled over by my first trooper for speeding, that I take full responsibility for. But of course no understanding or warning given, as expected by the state, but here I am with a ticket to my name. Fortunately, it’s been 6 years since I was last pulled over, + those are the tickets that really count.
But thank goodness for good friends who can offer a good distraction when life throws you a lemon.
Ashley, thanks for not judging me when I showed up to your house with dried up tear streaks on my cheeks after having a rough morning.
Thank you for inviting me + giving me the love + support + authentic communication + keeping me a part of your life the last two years, despite the time + the distance between us.
And thank you for letting me visit your new home + providing a weekend of letting loose with no plans while being surrounded with endless opportunities. I am so blessed to call you friend! 💛

Still at the market and a moment happens. Eric was grabbing some vegetables and in the end, he just wanted someone to talk to, at least that is what I felt he was looking for. So he spoke. He gave me a brief but colourful life story of his own adventures. He was a firefighter. He was a painter. He worked and drove that car he kept in his pocket every day till the not so distant past. He was blind in one eye, but sharp as a tack with stories and wisdom. He and I agreed that if you're not waking up happy what you're doing, you really must change that. You'll never be happy. No matter the price. He is a pleasure to talk to, and a kindness we should offer our elders; time and energy. So sure, I don't make big bucks at the moment. That isn't the point. I don't wake up and hate PHOTOGRAPHY. I wake up and realize only I can see what I see and sometimes that's more than enough.
Thank you Eric, for sharing your stories. Your love of cars, painting, and living life on your own terms. #Aurora #farmersmarket #igersdaily #canondaily #CANON #6DmkII #peopleofcanada

So as I am coming out of an event, I see this calm and happy gentleman. I ask if I may take a photo and he obliged. What I thought was great was the capturing of a moment in time with paints. He was taking his own snapshot of time. So while capturing an events these capturing the event and I get to capture him capturing the event. Is that confusing enough? #igersdaily #Aurora #farmersmarket #igersontario #CANON #canondaily #6DmkII
