The most important element of a trek is a tent, without which a trek story feels incomplete. For a trekker, a tent becomes an emotion because it shares so many memories which can give both tears of joy and sorrow. It holds innumerable tales of a travellers journey with his mates.
During my solo trek to Triund, I too had a tent story. My tent was set up in front of the lofty Dhauladhar Range and the lush green forests. I began to stroll around a bit when it started to rain and I sought shelter inside my tent.
I could feel the rain pattering over my tent and the gusty winds scaring me about my tent's fate. Luckily, my tent survived every hardship and cocooned me from the outside harsh weather.
I waited whole night to see the stars, but the sky was overwhelmed with thick sheet of black clouds.
I woke up to the view of fresh snow covering the mountains. Seeing that morning sunshine I felt that one does not necessarily need a companion to enjoy such a blissful scenario. Solitude in itself is a great company.
The best part of a solo trek is that you can enjoy a thing to your heart's content. I packed my things and felt a stream of nostalgia running in me as time had come to bid farewell to my tent and the place.
For one last time I looked back to the place where my tent was planted and was trying with its every might to save me from the previous night's fury.
While I descended the mountain, I wasn't empty handed. I had with me a bag full of memories which I could take with me to eternity.

Day 17: We did three hikes today! After sleeping a little longer this morning we did the diamond head hike. Wasn't long but petty exhausting cause it was so hot. Afterwards we drove to the manoa falls cause it was only 20min from diamond head. The nature there was amazing and kinda reminded me of the movie avatar. The waterfall at the end of the trail was nice. We actually planned to go to Hanauma bay but we don't wanted to pay 7,50$ for each person. So we drove a little further and went to Sandy beach. Beautiful beach with huge waves. After one hour relaxing at the beach, we decided to the koko head trail. It was definitely a hard hike for us. But so worth it at the end. We watched the sunset from up there and you had an amazing view over Waikiki and Hanauma bay. It was beautiful. When we climbed down it was already dark and even harder to watch your steps so your not gonna fall. All in all it was a pretty productive day!
