Giving @jadebellyyoga ‘s #straddleuphandy challenge a go. I got to 11 ½ with jumping. Definitely want to clean these up, though... #somethingtoworkon
I also wanted to see if I could do multiple straddle presses and negatives... ya nope. Not yet 🙃🤷🏻♀️. .
Thanks for the tag, Jade!

First time trying the #handstandcanes and whoah. Talk about challenging!! What I love so damn much about yoga is the never ending quest of finding balance between strength and flexibility. These #handcanes will show you exactly which area you need to focus on more. And I also love when the student becomes the teacher and teacher the student🔄. Thankful for an amazing coach @shawnditty!! 🙌🏻

Day 1 of the #365handstandchallenge - 15 reps of a handstand against the wall. @kiteckersley gave me a great tip for this especially if you're scared of handstands. Do a long low lunge, the slower the better, and place your hands on the floor, slowly kicking one leg up. You can leave the other leg behind if you're scared and just let it float for a second before coming back down again. The more times you do it the better it'll feel. The slower it is the more controlled so keep the speed really chill, don't throw yourself up there. I'm not trying to touch the wall, I'm trying to find that nano second of balance but the wall is there if I need it. Keep your hands shoulder width apart, don't let them go wide, and don't sink into your shoulders.
This drill is just to start getting used to the idea of handstanding so it's a simple one for today. Fifteen reps. If you can already do this easily then see how slow you can do it. Don't worry if you can't get close to touching the wall, this is day one and we're just waking up to the idea :) #handstandeverydamnday #handstands #inverted #balance #manchester #alternativefitness #cloud #lifeisbetterupsidedown

When it’s still smoky AF outside and you feel like a little kid that just wants to play outside 😭👧🏻 PS - using things like counters for L-handstand is a great way to practice balance, stability, etc.

I’ve had a passion for inversions for over 3 years now. Not long I know! But this is a commitment I’m very proud of ❤️
For a long time I knew one definitive thing about myself. That I love helping other people and making them feel happy, loved and appreciated. I would tell my parents, friends, even strangers how much I they meant to me and how awesome they are! This all sounds very sappy I know.. but is true 😝
Over time I started to feel let down by how much I wanted to give and how little I’d receive, thinking things like “they just don’t care about me” and letting all of my self worth come from someone else’s ability to show love.🧐
Somewhere in this past three years I’ve learned that I am the one who needs to love me. Learning inversions was my first way of proving to myself that ‘I can give myself, self belief’. I could empower myself without needing it from the people around me. 🙌
Today I could confidently say I have one main passion and that is finding out what I’m capable of and helping others do the same 💪❤️❤️
