Noite.
Boa noite! 🌃

I don’t feel like the State Department gets as much street cred as it should sometimes. This gentleman woke up at 3:30a.m. to drive someone to another country (10hour round trip on bad roads) so that person could catch a flight home to the U.S.

We couldn’t go to Bordeaux without visiting one of their many vineyards. Château Pape Clément is one of the oldest & most prestigious wine estates in Bordeaux. The vineyard was planted in 1252 by Bertrand de Goth, who went on to become Pope Clement V.
The estate is compromised of a 60 hectare vineyard, century old olive trees & a glass house built by Gustave Eiffel.
We had such fun exploring the grounds & tasting their delicious wine 🍇

SERENITYBUSPROJECT.COM 🚌 Although the food was amazing, the highlight of our visit to the Original Crab Shack was meeting Gilbert. 🦜He can talk, laugh, and dance. Gilbert made our day! 😀I hope he puts a smile on your face today too!🚌

Today I’m walking in the downtown area of Dunedin, filled with shops, restaurants & the best place of all- the History Museum, “Where History Comes Alive!” Well, if you know me you know that I consider history alive wherever I am. My mother & my grandmother never leave me, from the really ugly knees that I got from my mom to my grandmother’s legacy of the sloping shoulders so admired by the Victorians & hair that doesn’t turn gray until the 9th decade of life.
The Dunedin Historical Museum is housed inside the red brick, former train depot, which operated from 1924 to the 1960s.The Atlantic Coast Line Railroad Station relayed passengers to larger towns in our county, St. Petersburg, Tarpon Springs and beyond.
One of my favorite childhood memories is of a train trip from Arizona that my little brother & I made with my mother in around 1955 to visit my grandmother in West Virginia. From my bed in my grandmother’s house I could hear the train whistles singing at night, a sound unknown in my post-war Phoenix suburban neighborhood. As a result, I always associate the railroad with my grandmother.
Here I am, running for the train as the conductor cries, “All aboard!” At 70, I am still the daughter of that long-ago mother shepherding her brood, from the sleeping car to the dining car to the passenger car, mile after mile, meal after meal & night after night, across the country to visit her people.
Miss you, Mama.

Jamaica is a family-friendly travel getaway, thanks to its many all-inclusive beach resorts, but the fun doesn't end at the hotel. Be sure to go zip-lining, bobsled on a mountain coaster, take a catamaran trip on Negril's beautiful coast, go horse-riding, go on river adventures, visit Dunn's River waterfalls, and go dog-sledding. A lot of these activities are within a day's distance of any of the main resort areas.
Jamaica is around 146 miles wide and 51 miles north-south, though road conditions and traffic may add time to your trip. I'd love to help you plan your family trip to Jamaica, so be sure to pick up the phone and call me or send me an email when you're ready to start planning.

Exploring one of the temples in Vietnam. Honestly I can’t even remember which one this was. We went to so many that by the end we were a bit templed out but they were all amazing! Still one of my favorite trips we’ve done. 🇻🇳

"Our wings are clipped at the moment, but we WILL fly again" -Hope Smith
I saw this ⬆️on another post and fell in love with it... what a good description of how we're feeling, especially in the travel industry. We WILL fly again, both figuratively and literally!
Today, like many of you, my family and I would be wrapping up our spring break cruise that we've been planning for a year. We would have memories and experiences from Cozumel and Grand Cayman and lamenting that tomorrow we would say goodbye. But we're not, and it's ok to be sad. But instead of sulking, we're focusing on our reality. What is one thing we always say we wish there was more of? 🕰️TIME!!!!! Most of us that are home have never and will likely never again have this much time with our families or to get organized or complete those projects we've wanted to accomplish for years or ____________ (fill in the blank).
So, we're grateful for this time, we're thankful for our health and safety and we'll stay home until this is over... and then we'll fly again 🦋✈️ #daydreamescapes #discover #delight #elevate #Travel #FamilyVacation #stayhome #family #cruise #momlife #familytravel #familytime #travelagent #travelagentlife #wegotthis #inthistogether

🌍I CHALLENGE YOU 🌏
The whole world is #togetherathome - and during this time I have seen countless selfless acts - entire communities rising up to save local businesses - balcony concerts - birthday car trains - and more than anything, coming together while being apart. I love it. Community is EVERYTHING.
While all of this is happening, my community - the Travel Industry - is crippled. Everyone is (rightly) focused on what they can do INSIDE their own 4 walls. Focusing on surviving this new normal.
👉🏼👉🏼 HOWEVER, I am challenging all of you to wrap up your Tiger King binge, grab a glass of whatever makes you feel good and plan a FUTURE trip. 🍷 Dream of where you’ll go first. Where you’ll take your family. Where you’ll escape these 4 walls and experience something new.
⭐️ ⭐️ The Challenge: Spend 30 minutes this weekend (or more 😉) mapping out a future getaway. Post about it to your Instagram stories or page with the hashtag #savethetraveltrade and tag your favorite travel account or travel companion. Let’s all dream together while being apart about a future of being together-together on an Island sipping Mimosas! 🥂 🏝
The Travel Trade depends on you. Air travel, train travel, bloggers, camp grounds, hotels, etc all depend on YOU. While you may not be booking anything, it’s ok to dream! And by planning your dream, you’re saving ours.

Per un altro on the road in camper negli Stati Uniti dovremo attendere parecchio mi sa!
P.S.: tutta la famiglia FarAndAway ha espresso il desiderio di fare un on the road in macchina in Italia appena sara' possibile 💚, voi?

You never really plan on a global pandemic or crazy circumstances to rock your world, but when you travel the world going with the flow of the next right decision is what needs to be done.
With broken hearts we left South Asia for now. We will be sharing more details in the coming months, but we made it to where we will be staying for the next several months in the USA near family.
We are not done traveling, but along with the rest of the world we are on lockdown.
Check out the link in my profile for some fun activities and free printables for your family to be able to do in this crazy time! You now have time to spend discussing other cultures as a family! And right now the current events section can be done with how different cultures are viewing this pandemic.

We went on a hike in the desert near our campsite yesterday. It was a pretty hot day and to our surprise we found a pool to take a dip in. We also saw a Gila Monster! We've only seen one in a zoo, so we were very excited. We watched it scurry around for at least an hour. Against my advice, the boys tried to catch it. Luckily, they did not as it is the only venomous lizard in the United States.
