Mindfulness and Compassion towards yourself. That's what I want for you. ⠀

When I talk to some of you and in your introduction, you often mention that you eat for emotional reasons. ⠀
I get it and I want you to know that this is something normal. You are not broken or wrong. You are taking care of yourself. ⠀
Using food to cope with your emotions might have been the only way to comfort you for a long time and the neurological and hormonal pleasure it brings is on your side. ⠀
But I know how it is to feel guilty around food, hiding food or empty food wraps or boxes... I know how it is to feel controlled by food and I know how it is to know it all better. ⠀
You know what you should not eat and you know you should stop when you're full. Of course. I don't invent something new. ⠀
But how can you satisfy your emotions without food? ⠀
What are you craving for? What would you like to change in your life? Not one day, but NOW! Not 2019, but NOW! ⠀
How does your bigger, better life look like? Who would you be? How do you want to be? What would you love to do that your issues with food are preventing you from doing now? ⠀

Grocery shopping is a pain and gives me a lot of anxiety (all the people = not my fav). So I like to get in and out ASAP. .
Enter in my grocery list... I break up my items by grouping them where ik they are at in the store... this organization tip helps me not forget anything and makes it go super fast cause I’m not wandering around for everything 🙌🏻. .

Zach and I decided to try a new restaurant tonight so we went to Kabab and Curry and got their dinner buffet.
I am so upset I forgot to grab a to go menu and mark the food we ate, because it was AMAZING. This was only plate #1 of 3😳
We’ll definitely go back and next time I’ll make sure to make note of what we ate!

My oldest works at this cute little Waffle Bar! She made this💗💗💗soooo good!!!!!
So how would I track something like this???
I can’t measure or weigh it🤔
And I don’t know that brand of ingredients....
Keep it as an estimate. I just go to MFP and search •Belgium Waffle
I don’t like whipped cream so I left that out.
There are foods with ✅ next to them. Use one of those when searching for estimates.
Then I eyeball and know that wasn’t a full banana, around a serving of strawberries, 1/2 serving of blueberries, and only a drizzle of almond butter....
Then I just log it and don’t worry if it’s exact or not. Remember being off slightly “sometimes” is not what takes you off track!
Going home and bingeing and throwing in the towel for 2 days because you didn’t get it “perfect”......
THAT is what takes you away from your goal👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼

First off, I hate the term "Cheat Meal" because it implies you are doing something wrong and can lead to negative thoughts about food. I prefer to call it an "Untracked Meal", but whatever you call it, it amounts to the same thing - a meal that is different from your normal diet/macros/way of eating. Not sure how to handle an untracked meal? These are some guidelines I like to follow:
🍔Set a time frame for your untracked meal - 1 hr, for instance. Because it's an untracked meal, not an untracked day. Having a time limit helps you get right back on track when the time is done.
🍟Don't go crazy - order a normal sized meal. This isn't an attempt to see how much you can eat in a short amount of time. You'll only make yourself feel sick. An "untracked meal" is not an all out binge.
🍕Eat slowly. Really savor and enjoy whatever food you're enjoying that you typically don't eat. Take the time to enjoy the people you're with.
🌭Drink lots of water. Being hydrated can prevent you from over eating and can ensure your digestion stays on track when your body is fed something out of the norm.
🍿Stop when you are full. Just because you can eat the entire meal during your "untracked meal" doesn't mean you should. Don't ignore your hunger and fullness cues. When you feel done. Stop.

Jeg har stadig tendens til at tro på den fortælling, jeg før i tiden havde om mig selv...
Fortællingen om, at jeg nok ikke rigtig var værd at kende. At jeg ikke kunne tillade mig at sige til og fra. At jeg for alt i verden ikke måtte være til besvær, fordi jeg var så nem for andre at udskifte, og fordi en brudt relation altid ville være mit tab - aldrig de andres.
Men så går det indimellem op for mig, at den fortælling ikke (længere) er sand, og at jeg faktisk selv har formået både at skabe nye relationer og genopbygge nogle gamle❤️ At jeg måske alligevel er værd at kende. Og at jeg faktisk har mennesker i mit liv, som jeg ikke alene holder af helt ind i mit inderste, men som samtidig lader til at kunne lide mig✨ Tak for i aften @lilledyrs, @mettebayolsen, @stine_nordstrand, @monikakrogh og Franciska - det var den dejligste pre birthday dinner længe✨ Og så gør det jo heller ikke glæden mindre, at jeg havde held med at lave chokolademousse og havde marineret clementiner i hyldeblomstsaft og alt muligt vildt, som ellers langt overstiger mine kulinariske evner😜🎄
