Hope you guys had a wonderful #Valentinesday ❤️ or #singlesawarenessday 💔!! 😃😭😜 Whether you’re in a relationship or not, this is a reminder that you can eat whatever chocolate your heart desires! Just because diet culture tells us we should only eat the darkest of dark chocolates, doesn’t mean you have to eat that exclusively or at all.
When I was a kid, I used to only eat milk chocolate because that’s what tasted the best to me. #intuitiveeating 👌 Then when diet culture haunted me for who knows how many years, I only ate dark chocolate, thinking that was the purest and healthiest chocolate. Now I’m at a much better place and eat whatever damn chocolate I crave. Sometimes it’s dark chocolate, sometimes it’s milk chocolate, but most of the time it’s not white chocolate because I just don’t care for it much. 💁♀️
If you think eating dark chocolate is going to help you lose weight (which btw isn’t something anyone needs to do), think again. All chocolates have about the same amount of calories. And if you’re eating something you don’t actually like, your craving won’t be satisfied, so you’ll keep eating more until it is satisfied. You might be craving milk chocolate but tell yourself it’s not “healthy,” so you eat some dark chocolate, then some carrots with hummus, then some popcorn, then an apple with peanut butter, and then still not feel satisfied. And then when you finally let yourself eat the milk chocolate, you can’t stop because you don’t know when’s the next time you’ll allow yourself to have it again. Sound familiar?
Point is, if you crave something, eat it. If you don’t honor that craving, I guarantee it’ll come back to you eventually and hit you even harder. It’s like procrastinating writing that final paper that’s due at the end of the semester. If you keep pushing it off, you’re just going to have more shit to deal with later on. 🙅♀️

What did you guys have for Valentine’s Day dinner? We had kabobs! Pork tenderloin 2 pounds for $8! And chicken we got fresh from Albertsons, along with the veggies and fruit. Pro tip: if you soak your skewers in water or apple juice before you assemble them, your meat will stay nice and juicy! They marinated in teriyaki sauce alll day, since 10:00am. I smoked them on the Traeger at 325° for about an hour. .

FIND WHAT WORKS FOR YOU!👊🏽
In college, my volleyball coach always designed my workouts. It didn't matter if I wasn't feeling it, I HAD to lift weights and go to practice.
Yes structure can be fantastic, yes it is super helpful when others create workout plans and meal plans for you, but only YOU know which exercises you enjoy. Only YOU know which foods you like and are willing to eat🥭🍩🥞🍉🍌🍟🥗🍔🍕🥑🥝
I like having freedom in what I can eat and how I move my body. If I want to run around the park and do cartwheels for my workout, then I'm gonna do just that!! If my body wants a salad for lunch and a Dr Pepper, that's what I'm going to give it!🥗🥤
You do not have to commit to an intense 8 week workout program or a 30 day diet! Of course there's nothing wrong with embarking on a new challenge! But you don't HAVE to!
Bettering your health could be taking the stairs at work or buying 1% milk instead of 2% at the grocery store. It could be drinking one extra glass of water today or doing a few step-ups on a bench at the park! .
Fuel your body with nutritious foods, and move your body a little bit each day. Stop saying you need a set plan, and go out and MOVE in a way you enjoy!!!👊🏽
Success comes when you stop trying to do what other people are doing and you learn to do what's best for YOU✨💓
