Dinner was 9 freestyle smart points. 7 points for 8 ounces of sirloin and two points for some sweet garlic soy sauce green beans! Pretty tasty. You see one of the things I used to over eat was steak. Big fat steaks...this girl loves a big rare steak. But I’ve learned to cure my craving with some lean sirloins flash cooked in a hot as hell cast iron skillet! Green beans were fresh green beans from @samsclub with two tablespoons of @countrycrock lite, @splenda, garlic powder and reduced sodium soy sauce. #ww #wwfreestyle #wwcooks #eatwhatyoulike #notadiet #beefitswhatsfordinner #pointsleftover

We keep hearing that you can't lose weight eating simple carbs which include white bread, pasta, potatoes, white rice....they are off limits. As they say, "bad carbs". But why?-
If we look at these from a macronutrient standpoint, they are quite similar. If your ultimate goal is weight loss, calories is king!!. And from a caloric perspective, it truly doesn't matter which you choose. Either option works.-
Fiber is one of the main reasons that the right side of the graphic is recommended for weight loss. Since they all contain slightly more fiber, they might be more filling for you. Honestly a difference of 2-3g is quite small buts its all very much relative. Some might find brown rice more filling than white, while others wont notice a difference.-
It all comes down to individual preference at the end of the day. Some people won't consume white bread because its highly processed or won't eat white pasta because of the higher GI. But this might not be a big deal to some of you.-
If you goal is weight loss, you CAN eat carbs. Yes even the so-called "bad carbs". It really boils down to what you prefer to eat and how much you choose to eat. You can fit everything into your diet and still lose weight. The type of carb won't magically prevent you from losing weight.
Remember you got to be in a calorie deficit to lose weight.-

DO YOU STRUGGLE WITH EATING FOODS THAT ARE OUTSIDE OF YOUR “SAFE” LIST?
When my eating was really disordered, I had some “safe” foods (like carrots and apples) that I would eat with no problem. I also had lists of foods that I wouldn’t touch (until I was so deprived of them that I’d binge on them). # #
But to make peace with food, which is INCREDIBLY important in HA and ED recovery, you need to get uncomfortable and start eating foods from the “not safe” list as well.
# # 🔶🔶Christina of @foodfreedomsisterhood and I are going LIVE this Wednesday at 5pm PDT Hey to talk about that among other food issues that are keeping you stuck in this very restrictive mindset and are NOT helping you to recover!
Christina is one of the most knowledgeable people out there when it comes to food issues, binge & emotional eating and more. What questions do you have for her (and me)? Leave them in the comments below!!

Another day... another breakfast... somedays you just need to eat a bit of what you want rather than what you should... today I feel no guilt for the coco pops (which I’m sure used to be a lot sweeter than they are now🙄) honey and sunflower toasted bloomer, yogurt and if I were to have a block of chocolate I probley would have thrown that on top. Never feel guilty for having a hump day in the long run it will help you re-boost when you feel upto it..

I got to sprinkle all of the sprinkles I wanted on these chocolate covered strawberries. I also got to eat as many sprinkles as my little heart desired. Happy Valentine’s Day!

What's up doc?🥕
Let's talk nutrition real quick yall.
It doesn't have to be hard...like at all.
OVERCOMPLICATING things is totes my forte! I struggled with nutrition so badly because I thought I had to have all this variety and force myself to eat this "healthy" nonsense to get to my goals.
Well, my thought process was partially right, but I was going about the process all wrong! I was failing because I wasn't selecting items that I liked, instead I was choosing things I "had" to eat. I don't know about you, but when I am forced to eat something, it generally doesn't go well.
Step 1: Figuring out what fruits and veggies I actually like and enjoy eating.
Step 2: Buying those options.
Step 3: Eat those options.
It doesn't have to be something fancy and it definitely doesn't help to force yourself. Homegirl loves carrots, so....you guessed it...I eat a lot of carrots.
