Emma Watson has decided to describe herself as "self partnered" instead of single, reminding some of Gwyneth Paltrow's description of her divorce as a "conscious uncoupling." Does using less stigmatized wording make any difference for you? Let me know what you think of this rebranding of relationship status.

It may not surprise you to read that the top nutrition challenge amongst women is emotional/stress eating. While I do not believe in diets or having to follow food rules, I do know cravings can get out of control and that never makes us feel good.
There is a big difference between wanting then eating a couple of cookies and eating an entire box of cookies because of stress when talking about cravings. We know eating processed foods daily in excess is not good for us (physically & mentally), so I won't get into any details about the impact they have on our health. What I will do, is give you a couple of tips to try when emotions trigger you to eat in excess.
Sit with your thoughts for a few minutes. How are you feeling? Are you hungry? Tired? Bored? This time gives you a chance to ponder your choices and make a conscious decision.
Start an activity. Go for a walk, write a to-do list, tackle the pile of laundry or other fun things! If you are busy for long enough, the feeling may pass.
These tips aren't about NOT indulging ever, but rather to be aware of where we are in our heads at that moment. I know excessive stress leads me to candy, and if there is any in the house it will be devoured in seconds. Sometimes I go with it and other times I'll do something physical (cleaning bathrooms is my go-to 😉🚽) to deal with the stress. I know I am not actually hungry but crave the sugar rush and the hand to mouth movement. There are also times when I want candy not related to emotions, so I will eat it (I am talking about a reasonable amount... like a sweet yummy roll of Rockets 🍬) and move on with my day. Either way, I want what I eat and how much to be a conscious decision. Again, I am not talking about restriction, ignoring cravings or dieting, just about being present, aware of how our bodies feel and feeling empowered by our decisions.
What are your thoughts on cravings and emotional eating?
