One of the greatest things you can do for your mental health and self esteem is spending a few minutes each day thinking of things you are grateful for.
It’s absolutely free, takes up less than one percent of your day, and you can do it absolutely anywhere.
Even on your lowest of low days, this can make a huge impact. You can find gratitude in everything around you! Here’s a few things that I am regularly grateful for.
💠 Each day that I make it to and from work safely - my commute can be a bit sketchy, but my vehicle is reliable and so are my driving abilities.
💠 Being ABLE to work - there may be things you don’t like about your job, but the fact that you can bring in income to support your life and allow you to enjoy your time off is something not everyone has 💙
💠 A husband and two dogs that are always there for me - even when the hubs is too far away for my liking.
💠 The body that allows me to do all the things on a daily basis - seriously, if there is something you don’t like about your body, put that aside and cherish it. Your body can do some absolutely incredible things, and it deserves a little more credit and a LOT LESS hatred 💙

🚶♀️ Go for a walk!..... Or cycle.... Or run... 🚴🏃
🤔 We all need a bit of thinking space from time to time.
Things can get really cluttered and cloudy in your every day work-life brain.
Go get some fresh air, clear your head and then jump back in ..... you will be more productive than you would have been without the walk .... GUARANTEED!

On this day I wasn't feeling too good mentally. I needed to get out for a walk. Happily, my little sister was there to walk with me and take some selfies. These are my favorites of that day.
I hope to feel how I look in these photos more often.

A little Sunday stroll for the soul 💗⠀
Today was one of my rest days, but it’s rare to get a 40 degree day in November in Wisconsin! 🙌🏻 So I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to get outside and enjoy the fresh air. ⠀
It’s amazing what a 45 minute walk out in nature can do for your mental clarity. Whenever I am feeling stressed or overwhelmed, getting outside and being active always seems to be just what the doctor ordered! I always feel like a whole new person after spending a little time out in nature. ⠀
What’s your go to when you need a little reset?! Drop it below! 🍂

When in #London ...
#royalacademyofarts #anthonygormley #abstractart ...
The sculptures were at times a bit too abstract for me. Those pictured are the ones that literally invade the interior and are hugely impressive not least for the workmanship involved. Impressive artistic licence to play with #metal . My favourite piece will have its own simple yet stunning post shortly.
As for his drawings/paintings... again not my thing (and I felt like he was trying too hard to be “out there” with his paintings made with, inter alia, rabbit skin. #truestory ), although the two #drawings I have captured here represent my #lifegoals , to go from a #darkcloud above to a #clearhead . Using my licence to interpret #art as my blonde mind dictates!
I liked the “metal man” though he seemed so sad in his hung head posture. But see if you can spot the running man in the piece next to it.
Did like the falling man in the midst of the slices of bread. Clearly Gormley doesn’t believe in #gluten or refined carbs!
The first exhibit is in the courtyard. Two in my quartet, myself included, decided it is really just a discarded baby. Like some of the other pieces that didn’t float my boat so much, a bit morbid.
But awesome exhibition and the RA is a stunning place.

I was going through old pics and came across this one.
Such a sense of freedom, peace and adventure all in one.
The air was so fresh.
I need to breathe like this again

is something I find really useful to help ground me, especially in times of tension and stress, when life gets a bit busy and full on.
I like to use guided meditation to help centre me and see the light through the trees.
After a meditation I always feel clearer headed, my body feels nourished and ready to tackle whatever I need to tackle head on.
@insighttimer is a great app that I use
I must make more time for meditation. Anyone can do it!
Do you meditate, if so what works for you?

“Think about how I'm gonna feel when I step up on the catwalk
Think about how I'm gonna feel when I got that ass that don't stop
That ass that don't stop, that ass don't stop
And think about how I'm gonna feel when I take it all off” 💀
