1. Jumped into a teddy-bear cactus 🧸🌵while in pursuit of a ground squirrel 🐿. (Disclaimer: Felt NOTHING like a teddy bear 😾.) Suffered multiple stab wounds 🔪. Squirrel lived to see another day. Overall a negative 👎 experience. Probably would not recommend.
2. Went to the vet 🏩 for a ~check-up~ and yeaaah buddy, I’ve hit a whopping 14.5 lbs!! 💪 Slim thiccness, it’s simply a lifestyle 👅. Looking for a gym buddy 🏋🏼♂️ let’s get our #bulk on and eat this #bread 🍞🥐🥖🥯💦💦

2013 (left) - 135-140 lbs
Currently (right) -162 lbs
A lot of people know that I started lifting when I was 92 lbs, almost 9 1/2 year ago. Even though I kept up with my gym routine, my nutrition and recovery weren’t the best. Also, I kept following the same hypertrophy workout programs instead of mixing it up.
2 years ago, I decided that I needed to change something since my physique remained the same. I hit a plateau! I then decided to focus more on powerlifting, functional training and calisthenics. Additionally, I locked down my nutrition. This resulted in a dramatic change to my physique. My strength increased as well! I also started focusing more towards recovery in terms of sleep, chiropractic care and mobility work.
I’m currently focused on fat loss and I will soon switch over to a more hybrid training mode. I cannot wait to learn more about my limits and physique as I venture into different fields of weightlifting and fitness in general.

Complete and utter SHOCK 🙀
But everyone does! 🤯
What’s the point of working out if you don’t take it?! 🤔 ⬆️ a recent reaction I got when I told my friend I don’t take protein powder 🙉
Do you really need it? Let’s check the facts 🧐
On a muscle-building (bulking) programme, you should consume 2 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight per day ⚖️ For example, if you weigh 60 kilograms, that’s 120 grams of protein per day #quickmaths 😎
If you include meat or fish in your diet that’s VERY achievable 🐟🐄🐔 Even a vegetarian can do it with a bit of planning 🥛🍳 Veganism makes it tough though! 🌱
And you need to make sure you get all your essential amino acids, so this is when supplementing with protein powder can make a big difference 💪
Don’t believe the hype! Do your research before jumping on the new cool bandwagon! 💁🏼♀️ The majority of us don’t need supplements if our diet is providing all the nutrients we need 🌈
Then again, double choc and peanut butter flavoured protein porridge sounds pretty good to me, so if you enjoy it, you do you! 🤪

I want slim stomach and pumped up glutes
It is two DIFFERENET processes - losing weight and gaining mass. You can't combine them. You can be losing weight OR gaining mass. There is no way to get rid of fat and to grow muscles at the same time.
Losing weight is based on the deficit of calories. I recommend to make this deficit increasing your activity, not to decreasing greatly the amount of food.
While gaining mass you need to get more calories than you burn, so your organism has materials to build muscles.
Now you got it, why you can't become slim and big at the same time?
First, you need to get rid of the excess weight. I mean, when it is really excess, and it is not good for your body and health.
Then, you gain mass. You build muscles, so you have what to show. Of course, you will gain fat as well. Unlikely, you'll see 6-pack while mass period. It is ok, but be sure, that you gain more muscles, than fat.
After that only, you are ready to lose some weight you've gained on a bulk. So you will get perfect body (disclaimer - it is not an ideal for everyone, it is my opinion - that athletic body is beautiful) - you have muscles and a little percent of fat.
