When I said I was going to review every hamburger I eat in #Vancouver, I meant it.
(Though I said that inside my own head, so I’ll forgive you for not taking note.)
Case in point, my wife made these last night.
For posterity, we’re taking @costco organic ground beef, salt, pepper and egg. Buns? That’d be @saveonfoods Whole Wheat.
Mustard, relish, tomato, avocado and lettuce. No ketchup, which I think was a bit of a miss.
(But don’t tell her I said that.)
As you can see, I ate two. They were one-fifth-pound patties, so I could easily pack a couple away. Though I quickly wished l’d just made a double-burger instead of a duo.
She put together the toppings, made the patties, assembled the sandwiches and served a side-dish. I cooked the patties on our grill. Or should I say overcooked them, which was the only low point in an otherwise perfect summer meal.
No wait, she made broccoli as the side. So maybe two low points.
But else what can I say? Home-burgers for dinner with my wife, my dog and a sunset view.
Life is good.
