I remember how grey and desolate this place used to look.
Thanks to winter and winter only
I can't help but associate the colour of brown in my photo
with thick or thin ice
as well as with lots of puddles and mud.
All that is green is so new to me.. so refreshing..
it almost feels unreal.
There's nothing sweeter than living a life allowing you to observe spring at its peak.
That's why I find it hard to imagine
living in a country having only a fraction of the four seasons my current home has always had.
Running yesterday wasn't as easy as I remembered it
but I kept my word and fulfilled my goal of 18 kilometres anyway.
Since weather changed drastically this month
I've chosen an interesting
yet perfectly suitable part of the day for my workouts: around and after sunset.
It's sometimes cool when you travel back in time with the intention of comparing the past with the present.
Knowing that I once upon a time (January) preferred the hours of 9 and 10PM for running
makes me nostalgic in a good way.
There's only one.
It always does when we choose to do what we love.
Running yesterday reminded me
that I'll remain free
as long as I'm hungry
for personal freedom.
How could I possibly live life to the fullest
if I was deprived of a true passion?
Not to mention I've found a new one
just as strong and immortal
What the two have in common
Trust me,I need nothing else.
Well,a camera at least.
That I'd need like all the time.
Spring,God bless you.
It's crazy you're only getting started.
If your true peak is in May
then I don't know how to call your April activity.
A lasting revolution perhaps.
Because everything's changed
including 6AM clothing.
If only I slept a bit more..

My god I missed this T-shirt weather in Belgium. Finally some good old sunsets to recap the day and think about what steps I took to get closer to my goals. Did I worked hard enough? Did I learned something new? Did I invest something in myself?
How many hours a day are you investing in yourself to get closer to your life goals?

Oh man, glow worms are so cool. Glow worms are one of those things in nature that remind you just how straight up awesome and weird nature actually is. Anything bioluminescent has this effect on me, but glow worms especially. They turn exploring a cave into discovering a magical wonderland. In the middle of the day they’ll light up like the night sky, little blue stars on cathedral ceilings sometimes more than 100 feet above your head! These little strings of sticky beads that mean certain death to any teensy flying creature who might be attracted to them, but which to me are just part of an other worldly, underground landscape which never gets boring. I found despite my expectation that glow worms would be as easy to photograph as they are to stare at in awe in person, they were actually quite squirmy as a subject. The lights are very dim and sparser than they seem to the naked eye, it’s difficult to get definition on the texture of the cave, the strings sway ever so slightly in the breeze that rises off the cave waters, and capturing the feeling of discovering little grottos of them is just a difficult, slow, involving task. Hours go by like minutes and my travel mates get very bored waiting for me, if they’re around. But that’s nothing new, right? :D
There are glow worm caves littered around New Zealand, so I won’t let slip where this particular one is located, but do some googling, ask some locals and open yourself to the world of wonder that awaits…
