Anyone else having a hard time keeping squirrels and chipmunks from eating produce from your garden this year??
This year has been the worst for us when it comes to our potatoes!!! Each plant was even covered with netting, but didn't keep the little rodents out 😡
Quinncy and I had to dig up our potatoes extremely early this year. If we didn't, I know we wouldn't even have what we have as of now. Quinncy was pretty proud of the bounty he collected, but I on the other hand was beyond disappointed!! We usually grow enough to feed us through most of the winter and was looking forward to actually selling some at our local farmers market @arumaplace. That's not the case this year. That tiny basket that you see Quinncy holding with that proud smile upon his face is all that we have 😭 That's enough for one sitting. I guess there's not much more we can do, except enjoy what we do have and pray for better luck next year.

Spent my day in the gardens today. Fruit crop is beyond plentiful this year. Found a creepy crawly while picking pears. This should keep me busy the next few days, or weeks! #harvesttime #backyardfarmer #creepycrawly

Some of you might remember my spring gardening update ~ talking about replacing potatoes by strawberries ~ something more I found about the relationship between potatoes and strawberries recently is that you better replace the potatoes by strawberries right after you harvested the last potatoes. Doing so the strawberries have time to grow over the winter period and will gift us "real" fruits in the next year.
And the little pumpkin bedides is just a little reminder about enjoying and being thankful ~ being thankful about some natural surprises ~ I thought I planted out the little pumpkin to early and thought him frostbitten. But after forgotten him he showed us his most beautiful yellow flower in late spring time and will donate us a very delicious pumpkin soup for sure 😚

I’ve been accepted into Iris Harvest School of Missions!!! My heart has been gripped and I can’t shake it. I’ve been asking the Lord time and time again “are you sure you want me to do this?” His answer is with a warm smile and a resounding “YES!” It’s wild especially with the confirmations He has been giving me!
I’ll be leaving Canada October 14-December 7 to meet up with Heidi & Rolland Baker and the team to minister in Israel. We will also be traveling to Europe and Africa! I am beyond excited and overwhelmed by this deep love that He has been downloading already to spread the gospel throughout these beautiful countries.
I am grateful there are so many prayer warriors on here! Could you please lift the team and I up in prayer? For a smooth process to get there, for the people we will be loving on, for Holy Spirit to manifest wherever we go as a family, and for our health and safety (mind, body, spirit) and whatever God puts on your radar to pray for. It would be sowing into some of His plans and what He wants to do throughout the world. I am feeling bubbled up with JOY that the double chins are full force! Thank you so much for reading and supporting. We are doing this together ❤️ friends and family, I love you a whole lot. Bless you!
