The BMW X6 M Competition is powered by a twin-turbocharged 4.4-litre V8, which develops 625HP and 750Nm of torque. Power is sent through an eight-speed automatic gearbox to a rear-biased all-wheel-drive system. From 0 to 100km/h the SUV claims in just 3.8 sec as it stretches towards an electronically limited top speed of 250km/h and 290km/h with the optional M Driver‘s Package.
The X6 M's chassis and suspension was developed at the Nurburgring to help create the best combination of daily, year-round usability, and genuine track-capable levels of performance. For example, there is extra chassis bracing, stiff engine and suspension mounting points, and a double-wishbone front suspension with forged upper control arms. The rear suspension is a five-link design. Competition models get 21-inch rims at the front and 22-inch rims at the back. Large M-specific brakes are essential.
