I started practicing being a #vegan with a slow #eliminationdiet . When August was over I gave up dairy, Sept most meats, Oct fowl, November seafood, and Dec eggs so that come January 1st, I was a full vegan - well save for #honey ! I hadn’t even thought of honey until around February and February I become the vegan that verbalizes at restaurants that they’re vegan. Until that point, it was a vague “there’s probably no dairy in this” don’t ask don’t tell sort of practice.
Each month that was my last month of a food, I celebrated that food!
In March I got a bad cold and considered making myself chicken soup with the chicken stock we make weekly for Jasper but to my great surprise, it grossed me out when I smelled it and so I made a veggie soup instead.
It’s almost June and I’ve been at it now almost 5 months.
I have always been an enthusiastic meat eater but this is something I wanted to do for @sophieoftanzania the character I’ll play in the film @bornthatwaythemovie I’m producing & co-write with my best friend @bread_culture
The amazing thing is that I’m not sure that I’ll go back when filming finally wraps. I actually really love it. I feel lighter. I’m happy all the time. I know it probably sounds wuwu but I do feel closer to the earth and our animal world. I am losing weight despite eating bread and carbs as much as I like (that’s the dream, right?) and I have a ton of energy and feel strong.
I eat a lot of nuts and some legumes and tofu. I am enjoying making nut cheeses and jack fruit bbq & love how much you can do with a #plantbased diet when you have a creative approach to it.
If anyone is thinking of trying it, I’d be happy to talk to you about it. I’m a big, unexpected fan.

Pitam se zašto je Leskovačka mućkalica dobila taj naziv. Dobro, znamo da je autohtono jelo leskovačkog kraja, ali zašto mućkalica?.
Zato što ima svega u njoj pa se sve ,,smućka,, ili zato što se prilikom kuhanja ne miješa, već samo ,,mućka,, posuda?.
Bilo kako bilo, znam da je mućkalica izvrsna, pogotovu kad se koriste kvaliteni sastojci!.
